Ever Wonder who are the Owners of Simply Shayana....?? :)

Simply Shayana is co-owned by 2 best friends (more like sisters actually) who do very different things and yet share many similarities. Some of their striking similarities are their huge interest in fashion for Muslim women and also their vast interest for Islam and human rights. The beautiful friendship developed ever since their undergraduate days in International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM).

The co-owners are...

Liyana Hisham (wearing the Pink Reyna Kaftan) is a face which appears on the TV very often nowadays. She is a young TV host and actress and have also appeared in many local magazines for her interest in Islam and fashion. One of the programmes hosted by Liyana Hisham titled Safiyya received great response from the viewers. It is aired every Sunday at 6pm on TV 9. Not just any pretty face, Liyana Hisham is also an educated young lady who is now pursuing her Masters in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM).

Shabana Hasan (wearing the Black Zakynthos Gypsy Pant) is a young Islamic Economists. Besides being fully committed to the cause of Islamic economics, banking and finance (she is a young researcher), she also does part-time Muslimah modelling. She has also graced the papers on many occassions for modelling activities, various successful ventures as a young entrepreneur and for her distinction results while pursuing her Masters in Islamic Finance from the University of Durham, United Kingdom (UK) last year.
